I grew up in Christchurch New Zealand where mum used to take my sister and me op shopping when we were little. Back then then the shops weren’t what they are now. Cheap, a bit chaotic and not exactly exciting for us as kids.. But mum has always seen the magic in it and she taught us to see potential in what other others overlooked.

For a long time I forgot about it. Life got busy, shopping centres felt easier, and op shopping wasn’t really a thing. But somewhere along the way I found my way back – and now about 90% of my wardrobe is secondhand designer. From Gucci, to Prada, Australian designers and everything in between, every single piece has been pre-loved and all of them has a story. These are the kinds of items that last a lifetime - the ones you pass down, not throw away.

I also source authentic secondhand luxury pieces from Japan – the kind of high-end brands we all love but without the retail price tag. Because secondhand can still feel luxurious,it’s all about knowing where to look.

I get that people shop fast fashion because it’s cheap and convenient and sometimes that’s all that feels possible. But so many beautiful quality pieces end up in op shop’s unworn or barely touched. The hardest part is finding them. That’s where I come in.

I love the treasure hunt. I have the time, the patience and the eye to dig through the racks and uncover the gems so you don’t have to. Every piece I choose is something I truly believe deserves another chance, selected for its quality, condition, and individuality. Sometimes I’ll style or appreciate an item before passing it on, but my goal is always the same: to find beautiful pieces that others will love and give them a new life.

Every purchase I make in an op shop supports local charities and community programs, so when you shop with me, you’re continuing that ripple of good. Previously Hers is about keeping those pieces moving, celebrating style that already exists, and helping people shop better without spending more.
